This Privacy Policy explains how Urban Harvesters B.V. ("Urban Harvesters", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit urbanharvesters.nl or join our waitlist. We handle your data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / AVG).

1. Who we are

Urban Harvesters B.V. is the data controller responsible for your personal data.

2. What data we collect

We keep data collection to a minimum. We collect:

• Your email address — when you sign up for our waitlist.
• Technical data — when you visit the site, our hosting provider may automatically log limited technical information such as your IP address and browser type, as part of normal, secure operation of the website.

3. Why we use your data and our legal basis

We use your email address solely to keep you informed about the launch of Herbi and related updates from Urban Harvesters. The legal basis for this is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give by submitting the form and confirming your email through the confirmation message we send you (double opt-in). You can withdraw this consent at any time (see section 6).

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

4. Who we share your data with

We use a small number of trusted service providers ("processors") to operate the website and manage our waitlist. They only process your data on our behalf and under our instructions:

• EmailOctopus — stores our waitlist and sends our confirmation and update emails.
• Netlify — hosts this website.
• Google Fonts — the website loads its typeface from Google's servers, which may receive your IP address in the process.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where that is the case, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your data.

5. How long we keep your data

We keep your email address for as long as you remain on our waitlist. If you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent, we remove your address from our active list. If we ever decide to stop maintaining the waitlist, we will delete the data.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• have your data erased;
• restrict or object to our processing;
• receive your data in a portable format;
• withdraw your consent at any time.

You can unsubscribe instantly using the link at the bottom of any email we send, or contact us at gideon@urbanharvesters.nl to exercise any of these rights. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

7. Cookies and analytics

This website does not use tracking cookies and does not run advertising or analytics trackers. The only data leaving your browser is what is needed to load the page (for example, loading our typeface) and the email address you choose to submit.

8. How we protect your data

The website is served over a secure (HTTPS) connection, and we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse or unauthorised access.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
